I‘m not even sure if the past two weeks happened. I felt like, I was nowhere near ready for my exams and strangely enough, I’m okay with that because they seemed to pity me (I hope). Been sitting on this post since last Friday and I might as well post it today now that I have five minutes to breathe?

Privileged enough to get an invitation to this month’s OTB edition of “Rocktober”, they sure did deliver on the grunge. We had Puma, Digital Gadgets, Factorie and Rocomamma’s in the box this month. Free air guitar and a graffiti artist, spray painting away and tyres all around – I really loved the decor for this event.

With slight regret, I questioned why I had accepted the invitation knowing Rocomamma’s was feeding us for the event. Those glorious wings passing us by definitely had us questioning if we could push through without breaking our fast. They kept sliders, wings, craft beer and cold drinks coming through. I loved the concept of individual attention by the waiters. The whale sounds emitting from our stomachs must have tipped off the managers because next thing we know vegetarian burgers appeared and they were DELICIOUS.

We heard a bit about Factorie, Digital Gadgets and Puma. Factorie invaded with Cotton On if I’m correct. It’s a super trendy store with lots of affordable finds. Trendy but easy wearing you know? I love that their stuff isn’t fussy, looks good and doesn’t come with a hefty price tag. When I first relocated, I couldn’t believe that the store is all the way on the other side of the Gateway Mall. But, extra walking technically means you should reward yourself with some goodies from Factorie right?

Digital Gadgets appealed more to me than I had thought, to be honest. It’s an electronic store specialising in you guessed it – electronics. Ranging from cellphones and tablets to all your cable requirements. It definitely is a techie’s ideal store (so my husband basically). I loved that we were given some history behind the store, which made the whole experience more personal.

And now for my favourite of the night, PUMA. They had their impressive collection of creepers in the box. I am absolutely in love with these as my style is evolving and I find myself drawn to the athleisure trend. With big names repping the brand such as Rihanna, Kylie Jenner and Cara Delvigne, it’s clear to see how PUMA has stayed ahead of their game.  PUMA is opening their first store in Gateway next month! So guess where I’ll be…

On our way out we received the most amazing goodie bags containing; a PUMA bag (I DIE), Headphones from Digital Gadgets, Gift card from Factorie and a voucher from Roccomammas (which we happily used on wings this week)! Again, an ingenious concept that allows the brand to be even more interactive. Wonder what’s in the box for November.
